Easy Content Management - Fast editing with Gentics Content.Node

High usability, social software functionality and easy editing of multimedia based content are typical for the content management system of Gentics Software GmbH. The self-made Aloha Editor reduces the working time for content for 25%.

Vienna, June 10th, 2011: Gentics Content.Node 5 is the latest version of the Enterprise Content Management System of Gentics. The software can be used without trainings, the administration of content is very flexible. Even employees without any technical know how can work with it. "CMS-Users profit from high usability. We have reduced complexity in order to keep the working time for the users at a very low level", explains Haymo Meran, CTO, Gentics Software GmbH.

What is new?

The current version includes an integrated, personalized portal that can be the base of any website, intranet or any other project. Users profit from the multi language functionality, an intelligent full-text search, social software features like a "Like-Button", comments, RSS or Wiki. Multiple upload of files and images, advanced integration possibilities of videos, e.g. a Youtube integration and image galleries reduce the daily working time.

Aloha Editor

Gentics Content.Node 5 is based on the Aloha Editor technology. Javascript and HTML5 make content editable directly in the context. The Aloha Editor doesn't even need any iFrames.

The Aloha Editor procues clean xHTML5 code. This leads to a better ranking in Google and gives users the possibility to integrate HTML 5 elements (e.g. videos) in a very simply way.

With the Aloha Editor users can copy directly from Microsoft Word and structure their content. Editing without pop ups is possible, as well as fast formatting. Compared to other editors the Aloha Editor reduces the working time of users by 25 %. For 100 users the savings per year are about EUR 150.000. "With the Aloha Editor we have set a new standard in online editing", says Meran.
